In a quickly evolving organization, the Brand Coordinator understands and translates the mindsets of consumers, industry trendsetters, and research to define the brand’s objectives and key business drivers. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILTIES

Brand/Consumer Strategy

  • Assist in translating and socializing research insights to provide the foundation for how the brand’s objectives can be a guide for internal and external initiatives — helping marketing, product, BD, etc. guide what consumers care about

  • Manage on-going brand projects with department leads, including but not limited to copywriting, sizzle creation, cross-brand creative and advertising campaigns

Vargo Media is looking for a Director of Marketing to develop marketing strategies and plans to define the brand, build awareness and drive viewership of its programmed shows. Develop strategies by identifying opportunities to implement effective use of on air & off-air resources that maximize the Vargo Media brand, through advertising and strategic partnerships. Utilizing quantitative and qualitative data, collaborating with cross functional teams building on organic growth initiatives. Serve as interface with key departments such as: News, Research, Digital, and Sales to identify and build advertising strategies and brand extensions. In addition, maximizing collaboration and efficiencies with our co-production partners.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Fiscally responsible in management of overall operation budget for marketing and outside media

Vargo Media is seeking an experienced Strategic Partnerships Director to join our Brand Marketing team who will represent our slate of television projects to external partners with a mission to drive incremental brand product and service growth and build our vision to become the #1 travel company in the world. This person will be responsible for all strategic partnerships such as travel companies, tour operators, credit cards, hospitality companies, specialty third party retailers and more. This person is expected to be a master of relationship-building and has a pulse on what types of partners Vargo Media should be aligned with. The ideal candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and have a passion for making connections, driving company growth through negotiating win-win deals, and seeing projects from concept to execution. This role will report to the VP of Branded Marketing and is based in our HQ in Stamford, Connecticut.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Lead cultivating new relationships with aligned travel brands, hospitality companies, service providers and other strategic partners including unique deals with third party retailers
  • Act as an external face of Vargo Media, taking a creative approach to business development and relationship management
  • Build and close deals that are big picture and optimize for our company and brand goals
  • Maintain warm and hot leads to ensure there is a robust pipeline of partners
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to motivate, engage and execute behind strategic partnerships-led projects
  • Leverage data, insights and measurement to manage and track KPIs and continuously evaluate effectiveness of partnerships
  • Actively engage with start-ups and other aligned communities (travel, fashion, music, design etc.) as a place to build ongoing relationships for show television projects.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be 18 years or older.

Senior Creative Producer +




SENIOR CREATIVE PRODUCER

Vargo Media is looking for a fearless, proactive, and highly organized individual to join as a Senior Producer on our New Media team. The Senior Creative Producer will oversee photo and video production, identify and manage external vendors, production partners and creative freelancers, and maintain production budgets. The Senior Producer will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across multiple teams.

This role will report to our VP of Creative Strategy and work out of our headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Oversee all aspects of photo and video production from pre to post—including budget and timeline management, vendor sourcing and organization, contract negotiations, on-set production, retouching and more.

  • Strategically identify what resources are needed for each production—such as photographers, set designers, external production teams, etc—and collaborate with the Creative team and other key stakeholders to bring on the right partners to ensure a seamless and error-free production.

  • Responsible for efficient communication and process with all business owners and project stakeholders—including internal team and external vendors.

  • Work closely with project managers to keep all aspects of production on time, within budget and executed up to brand standards.

  • Maintain a detailed and comprehensive budget for all projects to ensure deliverables are executed within or under cost.

  • Manage day-to-day escalations and troubleshooting of production challenges.

  • Maintain an organized system of current and historical contracts and assets that can be easily located and referenced.

  • Lead a growing team of Production Assistants—coaching and motivating them to learn new skills, apply a strong attention to detail to all aspects of their work and lead with patience and a level head.

  • Travel as needed for specific shoots and production-related responsibilities

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND PRIOR EXPERIENCE

  • 5-7 years of directly relevant experience; ideally at an agency, production house or e-commerce brand.
  • Personable and communicative, with the ability to explain complicated initiatives to both creatives and business owners.
  • Patient, flexible and willing to work through unexpected changes or constraints with a positive and calm attitude.
  • A true team player who is able to work with varying levels of experience and diverse work styles.
  • Creative and responsible with budgets—you can stretch money and know when to save and when to spend to achieve a high quality of work within a tight budget.
  • Highly organized and experienced in managing large complex projects with multiple stakeholders and creative outputs.
  • You have a robust network of external vendors and freelancers—including production companies, photographers, videographers and more.
  • Exceptional planning skills with a natural ability to hold yourself accountable to timelines and budgets.
  • A strategic thinker who can translate creative concepts into reality.
  • Love to travel (but that's a given).

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency at using Microsoft office software: MS Word, Excel, Project, etc.
  • Demonstrated successful experience working in a team environment
  • Ability to work professionally while maintaining a pleasant/positive attitude in a high stress environments with hard deadlines.
  • Ability in Shotgun or similar production tracking system a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and to adapt to changing departmental needs.
